Artist's Comments

The second chakra, Svadhisthana (sometimes spelled swadhisthana), is the chakra of pleasure, emotion and sexuality. It is located just below the navel. Its associated color is orange, and its element is water.

I chose a nymph to represent this chakra, because what better to illustrate pure emotion and pleasure?

This is the second piece of my Chakra series.
Enjoy!

If only tonight we could sleep
In a bed made of flowers
If only tonight we could fall
In a deathless spell

If only tonight we could slide
Into deep black water
And breathe
And breathe...

Then an angel would come
With burning eyes like stars
