This piece is actually one I did specifically for *wiccan-club's November contest "Animal Spirits." Basically, it depicts a young women and her animal guide in a sort of astral/dream-like world. The guide is leading her in the direction of where she needs to be spiritually.
The violet tint of the background, the lense flares, and the slight desaturation of the woman and tiger are supposed to show the alternate reality type quality of the whole piece.

Enjoy!

I need one. I really and truly need one. A guide. Or I am just not getting what the one I already have is trying to say. LOL

I am thinking that this stray horse -yes, that's right STRAY horse - who was in my yard yesterday, and whom I may be adopting, could have been showing me that.

Anyway - nice piece. Beautifully done!! Good luck with the contest!!

Thanks, hon. I'm so glad you like it. I too have been having trouble hearing whatever my guide is trying to tell me. Perhaps that is part of the reason I feel so lost spiritually. I normally don't think of spirit guides as animals, but occasionally it seems like some animals do connect with you in a way that is much deeper than usual. Back some time ago there was a stray cat that was like that with me. I miss having a pet to bond with.... :(

Yes, animals are my strong suit. The one thing I never doubt and always manage to listen to and learn from - it's the animals around me. That's why yesterday was so strange, yet good for me. I realized that even the animals get lost because of bad choices (even if it's a literal "lost") but this horse - she wasn't afraid to allow me to help her. That spoke volumes to me about some things I need to work on in my life.

I think the tiger is a bit small, or the girl too large, but it's a good manip, unusual and creative. )

Just thought I’d depress you. :D

I tried to get them somewhat proportionate.... I guess it didn't quite work as well as I'd thought, lol....

Thanks for your input. :glomp:

Still a good job! :)

Very nice pic and great story behind it! Thanks for using my stock, but I should warn you, I haven't fed that tiger in quite a while, so she may want to stay a few extra steps behind! :giggle:

Heh... Thanks for having such a great stock. I went through around thirty pages of photos with tiger cats and tigers in positions I couldn't use before I came across this one, which was just perfect.
